Hybrid / Blended Learning
Convenient and Efficient.
Learn at your Pace. Practice & Test Anywhere in the US.
What is Hybrid Learning?
The Hybrid Learning (also known as Blended) format is a convenient and efficient opportunity to learn at your pace first, then practice and test with Purple. The material is the same as a traditional full, hands-on class with more flexibility to learn when is best for you.
Hybrid Learning is a blended format that combines online learning with a shorter in-person class time for practice and assessment.
What training does Purple offer with the Hybrid format?
As a proud licensed provider of American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross, and American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) training, Purple offers Hybrid Learning for First Aid, CPR, and BLS (Basic Life Support).
Benefits ⬇
Benefits of Blended Learning
Same Material as Traditional Courses
Blended classes are equivalent to traditional courses, but with less time spent with an instructor.
Learn in Your Own Time
The self-paced portion is online, to be completed in your own time - around work and personal responsibilities.
Practice and Test Live Online or In-Person
You can choose to complete the practice & assessment portion Live Online, in person at Purple, or in person at your location.
Less Time with an Instructor
Since you learn independently in your own time, the Practice & Skills Test portion of your class is shorter than in traditional courses.
Office Hours
Unlike with other training companies, Purple instructors are still there to help in class if there’s anything you need.
2-Year Certification
Upon successful completion, you receive a 2-year certification, just as with any other course.
Engaging Practice Session
And, of course Purple’s Practice & Skills sessions are always fun and interesting 😎🤠😄

Hybrid Learning includes 2 parts.
Part 1 — Self-paced online portion can be completed in your own time - around work and personal responsibilities.
Part 2 — Practice & Skills Test portion is instructor-led, fun, and shorter than traditional courses.
For the ultimate flexibility, Part 2 can be completed in person or in a Live Online Classroom.
For students who choose Red Cross: The online portion of the American Red Cross blended classes use award-winning simulation learning and interactive training. Students are given real-world emergency scenarios and have the opportunity to respond in a virtual setting.
