Response to Review by Peter Rutz
At Purple Health and Safety, we take participant concerns seriously. In most cases, we resolve issues quickly, kindly, and with full transparency. However, in this case, a reviewer chose to publicly accuse us of failing to issue certification, then refused all resolution efforts, became hostile in texts, and misrepresented our team.
This page provides the complete and verifiable documentation — including screenshots of texts, emails, and a timestamped Red Cross receipt — to clarify the truth.
The Core Fact
Peter Rutz attended a Red Cross CPR class on Sunday, June 8 at 2:00 PM.
His Red Cross certification was officially issued the next morning — Monday, June 9 at 4:36 AM — less than 15 hours later.
This was well within our 3-day certification window, and faster than what most training centers provide.
Peter claimed in a 1-star Google review that his certification was not delivered within 7 days. That claim is objectively false. A redacted Red Cross system receipt confirming the exact issuance timestamp is shown below.
Our Outreach
After seeing the review, we immediately sent Peter a respectful email on June 14 with:
Confirmation that his certification had already been issued
Detailed search instructions in case the email was filtered
A link to access certification directly at redcross.org/confirm
A redacted copy of the Red Cross receipt
A professional, kind request to remove or revise the inaccurate review
We also followed up with multiple texts, emails, and phone attempts, all of which were either ignored or met with hostility. Screenshots of these interactions are included below.
Key Communication Highlights
✅ From Purple to Peter:
“Your certification was issued at 4:36 AM on June 9 — less than 15 hours after class.”
“We included instructions on how to access it in case the email was filtered, and we’re here if you need help.”
“We kindly ask that you remove or revise your review to reflect what actually occurred.”
❌ From Peter:
(In response to our text message asking whether he’d received our email that told him how to access his certification, which we had already issued several days earlier.)
“I didn’t receive an email, moron.”(Then, several minutes later, we received this email in response to the email he claimed he didn’t receive.)
“My review will remain as is until I receive my certification. In fact I am going to revise my review to reflect these texts.”
(Despite the fact that the email he was replying to has the instructions for how to access his certification)
Screenshots of these exchanges are shown below.
Clarifying a Common Misunderstanding
Receiving the email is not the same as being certified.
When we issue your certification through Red Cross, it is logged in their system immediately — and that’s when you are certified.
If the email from Red Cross is filtered or blocked by a provider like iCloud (which happens frequently), it does not affect your status or the timestamp of issuance.
That’s why we provide direct access to your certification at:
🔗 redcross.org/confirm
We also include your Certification ID and clear step-by-step instructions in case the email isn’t located right away.
A Note on Professionalism
Peter Rutz is the owner of SOL Bodywork and Massage (Located on Coppermine Terrace in Baltimore). We would never normally mention a reviewer’s business, but because Peter has publicly made damaging false claims and called our staff names via text, we believe it’s important for those reading to understand how he chose to represent himself.
We responded with facts, kindness, and multiple opportunities to resolve the matter. Peter responded by doubling down on a false claim — even after receiving documentation — and chose insults over integrity.
